Gateway Life Church
Core Values
[The Why]
Love & Serve

“I believe that our Core Values can change the world – At least someone’s world… But what is it that will prove to the world what we value and believe? – It’s not what we say, that proves what we value and believe, it’s what we do, that proves what we value and believe.”
[Ps Jason Mannering]

“Our 2 Core Values are the genesis, the heartbeat, the motivation and foundation for everything that is done at Gateway Life Church and we believe that they are the greatest according to the words of Jesus Christ.”
[Ps Jason Mannering]

Core Value No. 1 – Love
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’
The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment, greater than these.”
[Jesus Christ – Mark 12:30-31]

Core Value No. 2 – Serve
“Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must become a servant, and whoever wants to be first must become your slave, just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”
[Jesus Christ – Matthew 20:26-28]

[i See A Church]
By Jason and Treena Mannering – Senior Pastors / Founders
[Launched Sunday February 28, 2016]

1. I see a Church where the vision and the mission are clear, consistent, contagious and progressive.

2. I see a Church that is Bible based; Christ-centered; Kingdom minded; Making disciples and Holy Spirit empowered. A Church that loves God by loving people, and serves God by serving people.

3. I see a Church where people personally encounter God’s love, grace and truth, which leads them to freedom from their past, power to live in the present, renewed hope for the future and the promise of eternal salvation.

4. I see a Church full, of great leaders with great teams who are equipped, encouraged and empowered for the great commission. A Church that enters into strategic and divine partnerships locally, regionally and globally.

5. I see a Church where the ascension gifts are functioning, the gifts of the Holy Spirit are flowing and the people of God are moving. A Church that is better together, humbly serving, corporately united, where every ONE is valued, positioned and playing their part for a purpose that is greater than just themselves.

6. I see a Church that is generously living and giving, and is built on the sacrifices of many, and not just a few. A Church that counts the cost, pays the price and preaches its best messages through what we do and not just by what we say.

7. I see a Church that establishes campuses, plants churches and provides extension services. A Church where every nation tribe and tongue gather under one Lord, called to one faith, and into one baptism.

8. I see a Church that is naturally supernatural, where the impossible is possible and where ordinary people do extraordinary things. A Church who remembers to give thanks to God for the great things that are happening, and boldly declares that greater things are yet to come!

9. I see a Church that is passionate, creative and innovative, reaching tens of thousands of people with the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, through the internet, radio, television and social media.

10. I see a Church of influence, excellence and significance. A Church where God’s Word is not just memorised, but mobilised, on mission, in the market place, making a difference and transforming community.

11. I see a Church that becomes a growing spiritual family, full, of people of all ages, positions and backgrounds who find acceptance, belonging and a reason for being. A Church where transformation not only comes to their generation, but positively alters the course of the generations to come.

12. Finally and most importantly, I see a Church where our Lord & Savior and soon coming King, Jesus Christ, is worshiped, honored and exalted above all else, for His is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever, Amen!

This is the Church that we see, and if you’re inspired, it could well be the Church that together, we see!
